no letter for colposcopy yet

Having abdominal cramps & lower back pain.

slight bleeding after Intercourse

I am struggling mentally so bad. Thinking I'm going to die and leave my 5 year old boy.

I can't eat sleep just constantly googling hoping to find answers. This is torture

I'm sorry your are going through all this worry. Try not to panic, your colposocopy appointment will come through soon I am sure.

For a long time my cervix looked somewhat white, mostly due to cervical erosion throughout the years, and during that time I was on the pill. So that could be what she meant by her statement.

I did all the googling I could think of in the behinning of my journey and I can tell you, it really does not help. Because you have no answers yet, all the results could apply even though none may do so.

Wishing you the best.

Sorry to hear you are so stressed, this is a very stressful thing to go through especially with the waiting and the Unknown's, so many "what ifs".

When the nurse said, a cervix typical of someone on the pill, there's a good chance she was referring to a cervical ectropian. Extremely common with women on the pill or those going through hormonal changes. I have one too. These are in no way related to cancer, they are basically when the cells from the lining of the uterus make there way to the outside of the cervix, very common. Can sometimes cause bleeding and discomfort during sex.

I had the same smear result, high grade. I have since had a colposcopy with biopsies and then had a cone biopsy on Monday. Understand this process is here to detect these cell changes early. I don't think anyone can really say much to reassure you right now as I have been the exact same these last few weeks.
The best thing you can do is think positive and stop googling. There is no point in increasing your anxiety. Focus on what you know, not what you don't know, as that will drive you bonkers!!

stay positive!
jen :)
