So for the past 2 years, I have had normal paps but have tested positive for high risk HPV. Last year I had a normal colposcopy/ECC and about to have a second colposcopy this week. I had a low grade pap 5 years ago but colp/biopsy was normal and paps went back to normal. How likely is it that somethng is being missed by the paps/colposcopies? I am 33 and have a 3 year old daughter and I am so scared that I have cancer. :( Has anyone else had persistent HPV with normal paps? I need advice because I am panicking!
Hi how are you doing now? I also have a persistent hpv infection. Found out last year that I have hpv (normal Pap) but I've been married for ten years so it must have been lying dormant all this time.
My Pap smear last week came back with abnormal cell changes and I'm booked for a colposcopy next week. Very scared
