Hi Cal,
Not all hospital appointments are exactly the same but in my case the Oncologist is the first appointment and he discusses any side effects or symptoms you might be having. He may then give you an internal and possibly external exam. He will then book you for an MRI just to be on the safe side.
If you have any questions for him/her, I would get them written down before you go, just to make sure any worries you have are addressed.
