Hi. I have been referred to the hospital as I have had irregular bleeding.
They took a smear which came back clear.
My question is why have I been referred if my smear was clear.
I am still bleeding in between periods.
Anyone else had this.
Have you also had swabs taken for infection? There are lots of reasons for irregular bleeding. Erosion of the cervix (harmless-can be cauterised) polyps, fibroids. Do you have any pain at all and do you bleed after sex?
