Hello My eighty year old mother has recently had radiation treatment for cervical cancer she finished the internal treatment on Jan1st but she is still very unwell with severe soreness in the pelvic area and tiredness, and nausea she also has to go to the toilet very regularly. Is this normal after a month? and is there anything we can do about it? I would very much like some help from those with experience in this area. Thanks.

I am still going through radio and internal radio, but had my last chemo this week. They said to me the worse will be a few weeks after the treatment has finished and it will get worse before it gets better. The fatigue and nausea can last months, what is she taking for the nausea? I was hoping to go back to work 3weeks after treatment but they said it would be more realistic to be 8-12weeks. Ive got a personal oncology nurse that i can go to for advice, is there anyone like that that you could speak to? xx
