Hi ladies, I’m in a bit of a bind regarding colposcopy and lletz. I’m an expat living in Iceland, and I recently had a colposcopy done, under twilight sedation. That‘s come back as me needing llet. The problem is, the place that handles the lletz isn’t the same place that did the colposcopy, and they don’t do it under sedation.
So, now I’m trying to find a clinic in the UK somewhere that’ll do this under twilight. All I’ve found so far is either no sedation or just general. Has anyone found a private place that uses twilight for this? Location doesn’t matter, as long as it’s in the UK somewhere, or even somewhere in Europe that takes foreigners.
(I’ve already had the “it’s not too bad, and sedation is worse” talk from my doctor and come across it in a lot of forums across the web too. I’ve got major anxiety about this and for me, it IS that bad, so please don’t tell me I don’t need sedation.)
