When do you get your fist symptoms of hot flushes etc with rads and chemo?

I think it varies from person to person. I was already menopausal so had been having the hot flushes and night sweats about a year before I had chemo rads. For the chemo you should be given anti-nausea medication to take pretty much straight away as nausea would be the first thing to kick in without them. The radiotherapy often causes diarrhoea which you are likely to notice during the second or third week. Just make sure that you drink pleanty of water and sleep whenever you feel tired. Eat what you want when you want and don't try to be regulated by 'meal times'.
