Positive for HPV and symptom question

Hi Everyone! I’ve been stalking this forum for about 6 months now and haven’t had the guts to post before today. This forum has been such a comfort to me over the past few months. Just to give you a little back story, I’m a 43 year old mother to two children. Have had Paps with no abnormalities every other year since I was 20. Back in 2020 I had a routine pap at age 42, which came back positive for HPV. This is the first time my Pap had ever come back abnormal. I freaked out but my doctor just kept telling me it’s very common and that it should go away on its own. She said she was going to biopsy my cervix and if it came back clear we will repeat everything again in a year. That appt was this past January and my Pap came back with the same findings. Positive for High Risk HPV and and low grade LSIL lesions. She repeated the cervical biopsy and told me to come back in a year for repeat exams. Within this past year my symptoms have changed a little, I’ve spotted a couple times during the middle of my cycles and my periods have been really heavy with large clots. My OBGYN has done vaginal ultrasounds and a ct scan and they all have come back ok but I still can’t help but think there is something they are missing. I don’t normally spot during my cycle and my periods have always been so regular. I’m going out of my mind with worry. Anyone experienced similar findings? I know I’m nearing my mid40’s could this spotting be related to perimenapause at all or most likely because of HPV?
