Poop problems 5 months after treatment (warning, TMI!)

Don’t read further if you don’t like talking about poo! You have been warned! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

During the second half of my treatment and for a couple of months afterwards, I had diarrhoea. My treatment included para-aortic lymph nodes. The poop was also very yellow. Gradually things started to settle down, and normal colour was resumed - sometimes a bit loose, always very soft. Now 5 months out my poop is getting paler, and at the moment very pale slightly yellow putty coloured and floating like greasy snakes. This seems to fit with Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency, which can happen after radiotherapy of the lymph nodes. The important extra factor is that I’ve had a Gastric Bypass 8 years ago, so I already have malabsorption issues. I’ve left a message with my Clinical Nurse Specialists and hope someone will phone me, but I’m wondering if other ladies have experienced this sort of problem, and what they did about it.

Also it would be great to connect with any other gastric bypass persons - I think I’ll start another topic thread on this!
