Pelvic/Transvaginal Ultrasound Scan

Hiya, im not sure if this is the right place to post this but my periods have been all over the place since I stopped taking the pill over two and a half years ago. I sometimes go for months without having a period, eventually get one and then perhaps I get one the following month and then they disappear for a few months again. I have had blood tests and they say that my hormone levels are within the normal range. I sometimes get cramping but no actual period. My GP sent me for a pelvic/transvaginal ultrasound last Wednesday and I had a letter on Saturday from my GP asking me to make an appointment to talk about the results. I am surprised that it came back so quickly as last time it took nearly a month. I am worried that the scan has come back quick cos they have found something. Has anyone else had this happen them cos I am worried about this. I have an appointment on Wednesday this week to see my GP about the results. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you :)

Today the exact same thing happened to me. I had an abdominal and transvaginal scan on Monday, due to mid cycle spotting. This afternoon I had a txt to contact my GP to discuss results.

Now, I have been worried sick for months over my spotting and I wasn't prepared to wait any longer. I rang the gp  (kicked up a little bit of a fuss) and the receptionist spoke to the Dr who confirmed the scan was normal. She explained the reason they ask you to come in is because you had a problem and they want to check on next steps.

Please don't think you have to wait and worry. Get on the phone to them and hopefully they'll help.

I hope this gives you some peace of mind. I understand the worry. Xxx
