Hi, I had laser surgery back in 2003, smear Test came back normal in 2004. Time passed and I had another child in 2010; fast forward 8 years and I was having some spotting before my period and some discharge, put it off for a few more months and I booked in for a smear.

whilst there the nurse who was lovely tried to do a smear but I bled, she spoke to the doctor and he referred me to the hospital, that was on the Wednesday, by the Friday I had a call and an appt was made for the folllowing Tuesday.

I arrived at my appt and the nurse was lovely, she said I had a young cervix at the age of 44, it looked a bit red but smooth.

she took 3 biopsy and applied the liquid and they didn’t show anything, she said it could be cerivical erosion but want to make sure.

i am so worried and I know it’s my fault, with the break up of my marriage and the death of my sister, I pushed it to the back of my mind.

the nurse said she would rush it through, I am convinced in have CC, worried what will happen to my kids.

I had my colposcopy and LLETZ on Tuesday and like you I am waiting for the results. I stupidly left it 6 years between smears so it's been quite a worry.

Rightly or wrongly I feel slightly reassured that I wasn't told they had seen anything concerning during the procedure... my mind was running away with me dreading them finding a tumour there and then.

It's going to be a long 4 week wait, I am going on holiday in 3 weeks so I am hoping to get the results before that. 

When did you have yours done?

i had the biopsy done on the 7th August, they said they would rush it through but could take longer.

she said there was nothing she could see but what concerned her was the bleeding as soon as she touched it.

like you I am due to go on holiday next week and I am so worried. X
