Spinal anaesthetic? Is that the same thing we know as an 'epidural'? The same thing as is given to a lot of women during childbirth?

I think a general for brachytherapy would be well over the top ;-)

Oh haha! I don't really know what to expect.  Though I think I'd rather have a GA than an epidural...

Hi Ladies,

I've been told by my oncologist that I will be sedated for setup of epidural and insertion of rods so you'll be pain free and fine. There was a scenario where general may be indicated but I can't remember what it was. Personally I would much rather have an epidural than a general anaesthetic. 

Very keen to get on with things now, roll on Monday.
