Hi all,
I had my yearly smear yesterday and the nurse said everything looks perfectly normal, which was lovely and reassuring. My question is can nurses see abnormal cells with the naked eye?
My last smear was hpv with no cell changes.
I know hpv is invisible.
Im hoping its gone. (Praying)
Many thanks
Hi @A-w258
Hope all goes well with the results
Unfortunatly no they cant, they can only see them at a colposcopy appointment when the cervix is magnified with a solution applied, however that being said it is still very reasuring that everything looks normal i.e theres no redness or inflamation just a nice pale cervix
