Hi I’m having my MRI scan on Wednesday and just wondered if anyone was told anything by the people doing the scan and if not how long was the waiting time for results? Xx

Hi Diane
I was not told anything by the people doing the MRI but I only had to wait for three days to get the results. I think that was exceptionally quick as they originally told me 7 - 10 days. I know it’s hard not to worry but try to stay positive. There is so much help for you in this forum as you go through this so don’t be afraid to ask anything or just vent! xxx

Hi Diane,

I had my MRI on 14th June and got the results on 17th June. I am in Edinburgh.

Thanks Snowbird and AMF it is Edinburgh I will be attending too and I have also been in contact with my GP who have prescribed me some Diazepam to hopefully keep me calm xx

Hi Diane

No you won’t find out anything at the scan. I had an appointment with gynaecologist and they went through the findings. I knew I had CC as I’d had biopsy. I then had MRI and CT scan then 2 weeks later pet scan I was then staged at 2b.

I’m kind of getting things done a bit back to front as I’ve not been able to get my biopsy done as it’s needing done under GA and the appointment for the MRI came through first!!! :woman_shrugging: Xx

Thanks I know it sounds weird as most people hope for everything to be fine but I really hope they find something (even if it is bad) that’s causing these symptoms as I’m soooo fed up!!! Between the constant back, stomach and leg pain and the bleeding/discharge every day it’s just draining :cry: sorry for the rant xx

Well the tablets definitely helped and as it was a different hospital from the last time it was a newer machine which was less enclosed so that was good…afterwards I was advised to contact my GP if I haven’t heard anything in a week!!

Update regarding MRI and I phoned the consultants secretary as I still haven’t had the results…she said the results are in the system but said she thinks they might be waiting to tell me them tomorrow when I go in for the hysteroscopy under GA…mind obviously goes into overdrive but trying to stay calm xx

Oh Diane, the waiting and the worry is so hard but well done for trying to stay calm. It really is the best thing we can do for ourselves. And as a lady on here said, whatever they find is already there…but at least now they found it. Good luck with your hysteroscopy and I really hope you find out your results tomorrow… I will be thinking of you xxx

That’s me back on the ward and consultant was pleased as couldn’t see anything worrying (which is amazing) so just need to wait a few weeks in the biopsies coming back xx
