Moving at lightspeed

I had my smear test on Sept 2nd and after coloscopy, biopsies and a LLETZ procedure, I was diagnosed two days ago with squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma. It's looking like stage one.

I have a CT scan on Friday and then mri on Monday, so we'll know more after that.

I just feel like my head is spinning though! I have a genetic condition that took 12 years of various tests and appointments to diagnose, so hospital etc just feels normal for me. The problem is just how fast everything is happening.

I also always thought I'd be more alarmed if I got told I had cancer, but I'm ok with it. I think it's because it's stage one or maybe because its just yet more medical stuff.

I think I'll feel better once all the scans are done and I know exactly what the treatment will be. The limbo feeling of not knowing is horrible!

The limbo feeling is awful isn't it. Sounds like they're getting through everything quickly for you.

Keep us updated :)
