Hi Everyone,

Ever thought about coming along to one of our local support groups? It is a perfect chance to meet other women in your area who have been through a cervical cancer diagnosis and have a chat over a cuppa.

The support groups are a friendly supportive environment run by trained and welcoming volunteers who have either personal or professional experience of cervical cancer. The groups are a great way to meet other women who have been through a similar experience to you. The meetings are very informal and will give you a chance to discuss your experiences, as well as listen to arrange of guest speakers talk on relevant topics. There are also socials and fundraising opportunities to get involved with too!

just wondered if there's ever been any support groups in Edinburgh? Just been diagnosed last week - would be great to chat to others.

Hi Leila,

I am so sorry to hear about your diagnosis but so pleased you have found us. We don’t have a support group in Edinburgh at the moment, our only Scottish support group is our Glasgow group.

However we do have other support services you might find useful. If you would like to speak to someone directly, our helpline is operated by trained volunteers who have either personal or professional experience of cervical cancer or cervical abnormalities, and they are there to talk things through and support you.

You obviously have already found the forum, and the ladies on here are wonderful and are always happy to offer their support.
