I just wanted to let you know that Macmillan have set up a virtual multi-disciplinary team (vMDT) platform that some of you might find useful.
Some people can experience long-term consequences following their cancer treatment and these can be complex in nature and may benefit from expert advice from a range of specialities.
The vMDT an online tool allows healthcare professionals to seek expert advice from a team of UK medical experts who specialise in problems related to the long-term consequences of cancer treatment. It’s designed to help people with ongoing symptoms from their cancer or its treatment.
Referrals to the vMDT must come from a UK-registered healthcare professional responsible for your care. However if you would like to know more about the service and how to access it you can find out more information here
