Lletz treatment for cin3

Hi Ladies I have had my results from biopsy and they have said it’s cin3 and got to have treatment, they said they are going to try and do it with local anesthetic as I am waiting for an appointment to have a large ovarian cyst removed aswell which will be under GA so they don’t want to prolong that being done so they just want to see how I get on with just local anesthetic. I am really worried I’m not going to be able to cope with just local anesthetic. Do you think I will be ok? Will I need to have time off work aswell, iv been trying to ring them to ask but no one ever answers the phone  really struggling with my mental health at the moment just want some advice please :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: xx

Hello I had LLETZ for CIN3 under local anesthetic and I can honestly say I didn’t feel any pain at all as soon as they put the anesthetic doctor started with the treatment took about 20 minutes and we were just having a conversation while she was doing it. If I need a second LLETZ, hopefully I won’t :crossed_fingers:, but if I do, I know I will be totally okay . The recovery was a bit slow for me as I had a urine Infection and that made recovery difficult but the day of the treatment was totally fine. Take care

Glad it went well for you and iv got everything crossed for when you have your check up :crossed_fingers: will I need a couple of days off work? I’m a dental nurse, I’m up and down stairs quite a lot and we have quite long appointments so won’t really be able to get a break in between. I had really bad stomach cramps from the biopsy so worried its going to be even worse when I have the treatment. Xx

For me recovery was slow first week was feeling very tired and not able to do much, but I know some people that were totally fine after 3 days. If you can take a week off . Specially if you have to be quite active at work, good luck :+1:t3:

Probably best of having the week of then to be honest I’m constantly up and down at work. Don’t get much time to breath never mind have a break  thank you very much. Im so nervous just trying to be thankful it’s not anything more sinister and try to relax about it all xx

Totally get you is a difficult thing and not easy to get distracted from . But if I could talk to myself just before treatment I would definitely tell myself to stop worrying and enjoy the day to day otherwise you just don’t get the chance to enjoy life.
Take care and let me know how you get on
