Is everyone referred for bioscopy with colposcopy?

Hi

I have been referred by my doctor for colposcopy and biopsy, and just now read that if there is suspicious area at the time of the smear test doctor will refer for colposcopy and biopsy. I'm freaking out. 

Is everyone having biopsy done at the time of colposcopy ???

I had a biopsy at the same time as my colposcopy. Still waiting on results. My smear showed high grade cells but don't know if everyone has a biopsy anyway?

I think it depends on what they see at colposcopy x

I went thinking I was having a biopsy with having my smear test it didn't look normal so was referred straight away but ended up with high grade (severe) dykrosis but when I got there they done the loop procedur. Good luck with colposcop.
