irregular and painful periods after lletz

Hi all,
In August 2013 after the birth of my child I had the usual pap smear which came back positive for cin1. I had the lletz procedure in july 2014 and everything went well. The only problem there was that 2 days later I got my period which was more of an inconvenience.
My next period and each since becomes quite heavy by the 2nd day and it also becomes quite painful. I’ve had period pains before but these are strong enough to affect me for at least 1 or 2 days of the cycle. I can still function but on the occasion it can be quite uncomfortable. I have also been skipping a period here and there, (which can sometimes cause a bit of a panic and might start to damage my wallet with a test needing to be bought ever 3 or 4 weeks. Just to make sure).
I’d been told by the specialist that the skipping/ irregular periods are probably normal as it was like that up until about 10 years ago, but the pains didnt come until maybe a period or 2 after my last check up which my gp has chalked it up to basically no big deal, that its probably just my body reverting back to how it was before. I havent had period pains since I was 18 I am now 33.
I just wanted to know if anyone else has had such reactions and if your drs said something similar. There have been similar posts to these but they only cover one part and its usually not the pain which is the part im most interested in. I hadnt had any until a few months after this procedure so I cant help but think it is directly linked to it. I appreciate any feedback you ladies have.

Hi I don't know if I am any help at all.

I have advanced CC and before being diagnosed I would bleed very heavily with clots etc but because I had polysistic ovaries I didn't have regular periods which is why I knew something wasn't right. I would have a period every 6-8 months but I would get the most intense period pain (almost as bad as cancer pain) and this would litrally knock me sick. I would have to have the day off work or school because I couldn't walk or eat because of the pain.

I can't remember if I was given some tablets to stop me bleeding as I had to have a blood transfusion as I was severely annemic - they worked too. I haven't bled since all my treatment and I finished it in October.

Look into your family history speak to your mum and nan etc and see if they've had simular things with pain or skipping bleeding this may shine some light for you.

Although I haven't had a period since February I do still get period like pains and the mood swings somtimes.

Again sorry if this is just a load of nonsense for you
