Hello,
Last year diagnosed with CIN1. I am going for my follow up. What are the chances it goes to CIN2? Is it slow progressing? Anyone have any experience here?

HI
I found this link which I think is easy to understand: https://www.whittington.nhs.uk/default.asp?c=12482. It's published by an NHS health trust so should be reliable.
Hope it helps?

That is a nice informative web link Jazza - one of the better ones.
The statistic that I have read is that after 2 years, 60% will clear up on it’s own, 9-15% will progress to higher grades, leaving 25 - 31% persisting at CIN1.
The younger you are the better.
Hello hope you don't mind me asking but can you recommend any other reliable sources of scientic facts Jazza & Julia? You both seem really well informed and I've read everything I can find on Jo's. I like to feel like I know exactly where I stand as far as poss. Thank you for your help and support so far!

Thanks so much for the input and information ladies, much appreciated!
Hi
I think that NHS websites are reliable, so anything on www.nhs.uk is OK. I also think some NHS Trusts put out good information; so the link I found above can be found by googling on 'NHS Trust cin1', then it's a question of looking through the websites that come up to see which one reads well. Another reliable source of information is Cancer Research UK: www.cancerresearch.uk.org. I'm still learning on the job, but want to understand as much as I can.

Thank you Jazza that's really helpful.

Just wanted to report back on my posts. Colposcopy done, biopsy done. Results back. Last year I had CIN 1. These most recent results were no evidence of CIN. I can hardly believe it but I am thrilled. Anything is possible so don't lose faith. I am taking AHCC to rid the HPV virus. I'll report back on that as well.
Congratulations on your results!

Hello, Amazing result! Can I ask what AHCC is? Currently trying to rid myself of any HPV in any way possible!
Thanks Hayley

AHCC is an over the counter food supplement.
In the very early stages of researching it, it has had some success at clearing HPV in mice. The first human trial involved 10 HPV positive women, 6 of whom had cleared HPV within 3 - 6 months whilst taking it. Some concerns that the stuff you can buy is not the same grade or dosage as was used in the trial. A larger scale double blind trial is currently ongoing.
Possibly worth trying as it certainly won't do you any harm. A bit expensive though.
Thanks ladies!
Yes Julia is correct. I figure it wouldn't hurt plus its an immune booster. Like Julia said it is very expensive.
