I had a radical trachelectomey around a year ago and I asked when I got my results
if I should get it as I was only 24 when diagnosed. My surgen said "there is no official evidence I can use to back up that having the hpv jabs will be a benefit, but if you were my daughter I'd make sure she got it ". I have since had them. He did warn me I may ha e to pay to go privately but I explained my situation to my nurse and she did it in nhs. Tbh I think we have a pretty good reason to want it.
I totally agree Amy! All the NHS want to save money and say not to have it but I have access to medical journals online through my uni and there is research proving it decreases your chances of getting it again. My consultant is in Jersey so it is all kind of private over there.
