HPV, biopsies and lichen sclerosus

Hi. Just wondering if there are others in my position.

After years of normal smears, always negative for HPV, I tested positive for the virus in 2019 and have been unable to shake it off. Today I had a colposcopy and a biopsy has been taken because some areas of my cervix looked abnormal.

I also have lichen sclerosus and require regular steroid cream plus annual examination because of the risk of malignancy from that condition.

I’m not really sure what I’m asking here. I think I’m just convincing myself that I’m heading for a gynaecological cancer diagnosis.

Any words of wisdom would be very welcome.
