I'm new here, so I hope I'm posting in the right section.
I was told I had abnormal cells (dyskaryosis- 2 I think) after a smear test. I then went to the hospital for a colposcopy. I was told the cells could go away on their own or could get worse, and I would have to wait 1 year and go back. So at the end of last year, I assumed the hospital would invite me for another appointment, but they didn't. At the same time, I received an invite for another smear test. So I called the hospital, who said I'd been discharged and had to go for another smear test.
So I went for another smear test. I think the nurse said it could take a couple of weeks for the result, but may take longer because it was Christmas. It's been nearly a month now, and still nothing. Is this normal? Who can I contact?
My GP surgery aren't great, so I'm reluctant to talk to them..
