How long for Borderline changes to develop

Does anyone know how long it can take for changes to cells to develop?

I can find loads of things online about approximate time it takes for changes to possibly turn to cancer or revert back to normal. But I can’t seem to find anything on how long it takes for the borderline changes to start in the first place.

Only asking because my cervical screening a year ago had no chnages but HVP+. Then a year later, borderline changes HVP+. Could something have been missed a year ago or can they start to change within a year?

Thanks,

K x

Because they are borderline, this means there is barely anything that can be determined yet, so, although there are no rules to these things, I think it’s perfectly possible to go from clear to borderline in a year. X
