Local anesthetic doesnt hurt, the injection stings a bit but not painful :) Once you have had the injection you will feel nothing. Hope everything goes well.

You really shouldn't worry, in terms if pain it doesn't hurt.. It's just odd feelings I guess..
It'll be over before you know it, just have someone with you

I'm really bad with needles (I'm the girl who faints at blood tests) but I hardly felt the injections at my LLETZ - honestly, if they hadn't told me that they were about to do them I don't think I would have even noticed. Apparently I had 4 injections but I only know that because the consultant told me afterwards. Please try not to worry, I promise you it is no where near as horrible as your imagining. I was pleasantly surprised by how quick and pain free my LLETZ was. Good luck! x
