Discrepent results

Hello lovely ladies!

hope you are all well!! Can't believe how fast Xmas has creeped up, ive been so preoccupied with results that the last 2 months have flown by!!!

I finally got my results but I'm even more confused and am wondering if anyone else has had this and what the outcome was. My letter said CIN3 was found but my smear indicated severely abnormal cells higher up in the inner cervix and biopsy didn't didn't. Dr said she was taking my notes to MDT meeting to speak with cytologist and histopathologist to see what they suggest but she was sure the advice would be to see in her 6 months. My first reaction is that this is a good thing but now I'm not so sure....does this mean I didn't have the CGIN or they missed it in my cone biopsy??? has anyone else had this?? My hospital only do 1 meeting mont and have cancelled Decembers so have to wait until jan for more answers. I hate that it's being left over Xmas!!!

thanks for listening too me panic.......again lol. Have a good day .

Hello Mandyblueeyes

lm new to this but I completely understand your confusion. I've searched the forum but can't seem to find much about Multi-disciplinary meetings.. I think they have to be sure when its high grade and mdt meetings are almost like second opinions? It sucks how yours isn't till Jan. the not knowing is just awful and my mind runs away with me As I'm sure yours does?

This is my story;

I was refered to colopscopy after my smear results were serve changes. I had treatment done there and she mentioned it was high grade and in a large area, and funny angle.

I got a letter back a week later saying:

The results of the tissue removed at that time have confirmed the presence of pre cancerous cells, only known as cin2 and cin3. In view of this we plan to discuss your future managment at our next mdt meeting....

I'm confused as she's didn't mention that the cells have been removed with clear margins. Does Precancerous mean its definitely not cancer? Or are they concerned they may have missed it as I think she mentioned its right at the edges of the tissue near the birth canal?

I don't know whether I need to prepare myself for cold knife treatment or repeat Loop. I want children so I worry about any intrusive surgery.

All of the ladies here are so strong and going through so much and here I a, worrying about silly things.

any similar stories or advice would be great no matter what. Thank you xxx
