Different words used on letter to face to face appt

I was diagnosed last Wednesday and my Dr said it was:
STAGE 2 Adenocarcinoma.

A copy of the letter to my GP came today saying I have:
GRADE 2 endocervical Adenocarcinoma STAGE 1b1

I am going to ring my CNS tomorrow, but i thought stage and grade were very different things.
Does anyone have any knowledge on this please?
I have an appointment on 13th to discuss surgery options.
