Sorry to hear about your diagnosis, hopefully you won’t need any further treatment.
I had Critical Illness Cover with L&G, and I was also stage 1b1 and my cover paid out, did take about 8 weeks to go through though.
Yours should pay out as well, as long as you were honest when you made the application ( I sell this cover through my job!). L&G pay out 96% of their claims so you should be ok.
