I finished my period on the 27th of november and then had 2 days of brown spotting and then a 5 day break and i have started bleeding again i am not using any contraception which could be causing this. I am high risk hpv positive but have had a clear smear and colposcopy but no biopsy was taken,but i am still scared that cancer has been missed and that this is what is causing the bleeding…
It could be hormonal, polyps, cysts or fibroids. A lot of things can cause bleeding throughout your cycle. Have you approached your GP regarding this as a smea test or colposcopy can't tell you if the bleeding is caused by these other things. I've had bleeding throughout my cycle for 3 years plus, when I went to my GP initially about it I was told to keep a diary of the days I was bleeding, was basically told to return if it was still happening after 3 months. I tend to spot around ovulation and then anywhere from a week to a few days before my period. Prior to my smear I had been bleeding for 7 weeks and was concerned I had cc. When my smear came back as glandular neoplasia which is high grade cgin I was convinced it was cc but after a lletz biopsy everything was downgraded to borderline changes. All I can suggest is getting an appointment with your GP and hopefully they will investigate this for you and should you need a referral to gynae they will do this for you.
