Hello 
I had the loop diathermy treatment 2 weeks ago and they told me it would be 4 weeks until the result. I rang today on the off chance they would be in and they were! They came in yesterday apparently but the lady who I spoke to couldn’t tell me anything which is understandable.
I’m just thinking the worst now. If it was nothing to worry about could they not have told me there and then?
Feeling so anxious now and wishing I hadn’t have rang

Don't worry! The receptionist cant tell you anything as they are not medically trained to do so! I rang for results last week and she couldn't tell me what they were but that they were in the post - it's been 5 days now.....
I always just think if it was somethjng they are concerned about then they would phone.

Well I got my results over the phone and they said the loop confirmed severe dyskaryosis but they found some more abnormal cells 'further up' so I'll need a cone biopsy.
This has terrified me of what they'll find. And I've never been under GA so I'm really worried about that too.
I know there are people in much worse situations than me and they are the most inspirational people ever! It just feels like this will never end and I'm going to get bad news at the end of it all!

I'm sorry to hear that you have to go through all this now after llet. My cousin had a cone biopsy a few years ago and everything has been fine with her since :) try and be positive, I know it's hard.
With the GA - you'll just fall asleep and when you wake up it'll all be over with. You won't even know what's happened. Try not to worry too much.

Just trying to put it to the back of my mind. I think I'm more worried about what they will find. Just clinging on to the fact that cancer wasn't picked up from my loop treatment!

I'm ok thanks :) think it's been so long that I'm just over the whole thing now! I am ringing again today to rearrange the appointment they have given me for next week - I am away so I can't make it. I just want it sorted so I can get on with my life!
