Hiya all just thought I'd give an update. I went for my 3rd colposcopy of this year today. All seemed to be going well and the consultant was content with just taking a smear, until he touched my cervix with a cotton wool ball it looked like my cervix erupted like a volcano of blood.....which my reaction was ta da this is what I've been trying to explain for 2 years. It has culminated in him taking a smear a biopsy and cold coagulating the cervix- unfortunately he wasn't able to give a local anaesthetic so I found it rather painfull and still am. Has anybody else had cold coagulation and if so how long was it before it stopped hurting? Xx
