Hi I have had my lletz today and been told I have cin 3 I am so scared it will come back cancer, any positive cin 3 stories or reassurance.

Will it?  I thought Cin 3 was before cancer?

Yeah I was told it's before cancer but there is also a possibility it could come back as cancer it was my dr who told me this before the lletz, he said its because the biopsys are so small they can only look at the small tissue sample where the lletz is bigger it can pick more abnormalities up. my smear came back boarderline and he told me it would probably be cin1 because boarderline is the lowest abnormality you can have so to be told cin3 was a shock.

Oh well I'm in the same boat as you, although I went from nothing to severe in 12 months.  So hopefully it hasn't had time to become sinister.  We can keep our fingers crossed together

Yes, hopefully we're fine. honestly if this comes back again I'm going to ask for a hystorectomy or however it's spelt, the emotional strain of this is shoking.

Hi everyone,

I had my colposcopy results recently and I was diagnosed with mild dyskaryosis with focal high-grade CIN. I guess high-grade CIN means CIN3 and I am absolutely speechless as I have become sexually active not even two years ago (in January 2015) and I am really surprised that my infection with HPV could have had this effect on my body so quickly. I was referred for LLETZ on 12th of October but digging this forum I can see many people didn't have the results they wished for after having LLETZ so I feel really hopeless.

I try to put on a brave face but I end up sobbing now and then. Does anyone has been diagnosed with the same thing or knows what is this FOCAL thing?
