As most people that join this site probably are, I’m nervous and scared about my upcoming colposcopy and just have a question.
I’ve been experiencing bleeding after sex, everytime, for at least a year. Also, for the whole day after sex I have pelvic pain and when I told the lady at the GU clinic she rushed me off to a doctor to get a smear done.
I received the results today and it’s indicated low grade dyskaryosis and I have the HPV infection so am booked in for a colposcopy next week.
My question is, have any of you been diagnosed with cancer after the smear showing low grade dyskaryosis or is it only going to be cancer if it was high grade?
I also have lower back and leg pain all the time, however I’ve put this down to my fibromyalgia.
I know I should have done something about it sooner, but I can’t be the only one that stuck their head in the sand!
