I have had my first colposcopy appointment today. The consultant told me I had both hpv 16 and 18 which he said is uncommon, have looked online and can see nothing about having both together.but know either one is not good. He took a biopsy. Said it looked like cin1. I don’t believe him. The reason why is I had my smear results 2 weeks ago which stated borderline, which i interrupted as mild change in cells, but he explained today I meant that they could not establish from smear if it was cin 1,2 or 3. The doctors letter didn’t say I had the worse type of hpv either. So feel there keeping info from me but I could be paranoid. I have bleeding from bum as well and bowel issues for two years and am panicking. As I’ve read hpv 16 in particular causes anus cancer.
my history is smear in sept 18 inconclusive. Gyne appoint said red cervix in dec 18.repeat smear dec 18 . Results 2 weeks ago stated borderline with hpv. Colposcopy today saying I have hpv 16 and 18 witch is uncommon.
