So a bit of a back story, in 2019 I started to have abnormal bleeding even though on the depo injection. To cut a long story short my smear was abnormal with cin3. I had it removed and my next smear was clear. I had another smear done October last year and this was clear too. For the last month now I’ve had terrible discharge, foul smelling and then came the bleeding (again on the depo and have been since 2018) they won’t give me another smear as I’ve had one in the last 4 months. I’ve had swabs to check for infections etc and all have come back clear. I feel genuinely unwell, sick and so exhausted, I look unwell in my face and a few people have said I look poorly. I have pain in my pelvis, and I am now struggling to go for a number 2 without feeling ‘constipated’ although I’m not. I’m pee’ing a lot more than usual too. The bleeding won’t stop even with tablets the GP have gave me. I feel like I’m going mad. What is this? Does anyone have experience with this and can tell me what it turned out to be? The GP won’t do bloods and I have a scan but when I don’t know as the NHS is behind with strikes etc. I’m having the same symptoms as 4 years ago but worse this time and more symptoms. How quick can a smear change? I need help I’m going doolally !
Hi @Laura94 I haven’t experienced that myself but I didn’t want to read and run, I came across something called pelvic inflammatory disease in my googles a few weeks ago and wondered if that was something you’ve considered? It sounds like you’re quite unwell, if persistence with your GP doesn’t work I’d bypass them completely and seek help from hospital. Hope you’re feeling better soon! Xx
Thank you so much for getting back to me. I have seen this PID before and I have had this ruled out before too, a few years ago they thought I had endometriosis and had to go through a whole lot of tests and things and had this ruled out and surgery (I didn’t have endometriosis) they actually put it down to fibromyalgia. I’m just feeling so fed up of feeling unwell. I’m having to lay down and rest most days because of feeling drained and just generally unwell. Thank you for a reply and not just scrolling. I appreciate it
Hi Laura
I have had all the symptoms you are describing and what happened with me was i was struggling to poo then i couldn’t pee either. I was in extreme pain at that point and went to hospital. The tumour had grown and was blocking me from doing the toilet. I have Neuroendocrine cervical cancer which grows quickly and it’s rare.
If i were you i wouldn’t waste time at the GP if they aren’t helping. I would go to A&E so you do get tested. My GP was a joke to as they refused to give me a smear aswell as i had a smear 2 years before and it was clear.
Don’t waste your time feeling ill and go to the hospital so you can be checked and to help put your mind to rest.
Hope everything goes ok! x
Thank you for getting back to me. I’m sorry to hear what you’re going through and I do hope things get better for you.
Could you please tell me a bit more about your symptoms and what all symptoms you’ve had/having. I had an internal exam done when I had my swabs done and the dr said from what she can see the cervix looks ok but could see the bleeding/discharge. Can it be higher than this so she couldn’t see? Thank you for the reply I appreciate it
