Hi all, first time posting here. I got my Pap smear result back yesterday and I’ve tested positive for HPV16/18 (didn’t specify which one) and negative for others. The cell results haven’t come back from the lab yet. Previous year I was tested positive for 12 and others but negative for 16 or 18 and no abnormal cells, so no treatment needed last year. I was shocked the results were flipped in just over a year, and don’t know what’s going on. I did have covid last year and a relatively stressful year for my job which maybe compromised my immune.
I’m relatively healthy 33 year old. Planning to get pregnant this year. Haven’t researched a ton into this, would really appreciate any advice on how to navigate with positive high risk strains while trying to conceive naturally. Thank you for reading thus far and this is a wonderful forum.
