An invitation to an event on Saturday, 29th November 2014, 10am to 4pm (Location TBA - London)

Capital C are inviting you to share your stories and make new connections to help paint a picture of the experience of people affected by cancer across London. We will use this to help develop new ways of improving services and to ensure that people in the capital get the treatment and support they need, when they need it.

This first event is an experiment. By bringing together people affected by cancer and the innovative organisations who are supporting them, it aims to develop an understanding of each other’s experiences by sharing what works and what doesn’t.

We will look beyond traditional health and social care settings, and explore where people get the support they need - whether it’s at home, work or the supermarket. We will take inspiration from the places, people and organisations that can make change happen.

Professionals and patients are viewed as full partners in this event and we are committed to ensuring that feedback on progress is provided after the event.

Please join us for an interesting - and fun! - day. Please contact Ceinwen Giles (ceinwen@swarm.gd or 07837887247) for more information. The pilot is being backed by Macmillan Cancer Support in partnership with Swarm.
