Hey guys, I had half a hysterectomy for stage 2b cc in April last year and normally periods return straight away… Well it’s over a year and I haven’t had one I’m just wondering if anyone else had experienced this and had any useful information on why as my doctors haven’t got a clue… Don’t get me wrong it’s great not having them but I’m only 24 and no periods means no children
Hiya :-)
Sorry, I am a little confused as to what surgery you had exactly. Was it a trachelectomy? Or was is something more substantial? If your doctors don't understand the cause of this we don't really stand a chance of knowing better than they do.
Be lucky :-)

Yeah sorry it was a tracheletomy :) I know I was just wondering if anyone had any advise as everyone ive spoken to had return periods to no normal right away... I'm still havin a lot of pain a year on :( rettie nerve damage in my groom and legs aswell just wanted to see if anyone here has experienced it x
Hi Paige
I had a trachelectomy in December last year and 2 normal periods after but then they stopped. I still had pains/cramps around the time I should have been having my period which got worse as time went out and it turned out I had cervical stenosis. I had to have two further ops to re-open what is left of my cervix so there was somewhere for the periods to get out. Just wondered if you could have something similar or has this been checked?
I'm 25 so in a similar situation to you and still have days that my legs feel uncomfortable and have been told it's my nerves from having lymph nodes removed X
