Just a little update on my journey really.
I had my loop treatment in very late august and was told that I just needed to go for another cervical screening test in 6 months time.
But now here I am having irregular bleeds and cramping pains between periods
I rang my doctors as this isn’t normal for me. I have an appointment for a cervical examination on Tuesday afternoon just to check what’s going on.
I won’t lie I’m a little worried, but I’ll keep you posted.
Im just wondering if anyone else experienced this ? Xx
Hi soph
I had somewhat the same experience as yours months after my lletz , I thought it was post lletz related so I booked to see my gyno . After checking the gyno said bleeding was not coming from the lletz site so they did internal ultra sound which showed I have 3cm fibroid.
It may be nothing serious try to relax coz sometimes stress can cause bleeding.
All the best and let me know how it goes. Xxx
Hi Jane.
Thank you so much for replying!
Yeah I thought it might be something to do with the treatment but just wanted to make sure everything was okay. I guess we’ll see after Tuesday.
Aw Jane bless you, did you have to have that removed then?
I’ll definitely keep you updated on how it goes. It’s a journey isn’t it!! Xx
Hi Soph
About the fibroid I was given the option to have that removed or have the IUD implant ( IUD can relieve heavy bleeding and pain caused by the fibroids. A progestin-releasing IUD provides symptom relief only and doesn’t shrink fibroids or make them disappear ) I opted for non and he gave me medicine since I had bleed for close to 4 weeks . The reason I dint want the implant is because my partner and I want to start trying for a baby early next year God willing . I think with 2 boys 20 and 15 I feel I need one more after the abnormal cells and almost having my uterus removed scare . Am 37. Sorry I dint mean to write a novel just wanted to vent .
Tuesday is not far for your cervical examination I wish you the best . Sending you hugs and good vibes xxx
Hi Jane!
Bless you! What a journey! And did the medicine work effectively for you?
Awwww how lovely Jane! Good for you!! They’re such a blessing aren’t they, I’ve got 2 boys myself! My youngest is only 9 months and my eldest is 3.
I hope your journey to conception is an easy and straightforward one lovely, I’m sure it will be.
No problem at all, you vent away hun. That’s what we’re here for isn’t it!
